Vacuum Gripper Behavior

Basic Information

Name:The name of this behavior

Suction Nozzle:Select the connector device for this behavior

Suction Distance:Maximum suction distance

Normal Strength:Maximum suction force it can withstand

Shear Strength:Maximum shear force it can withstand

Number of Rotation:Set the number of suction directions

0 means suction is possible in any direction; otherwise, the 360 degrees will be divided by this value, and the resulting angles will be the allowable suction directions.

Rotation Tolerance:Set the tolerance for each suction direction (this field is invalid if Number of Rotation is 0)

Action Latency:Delay time after receiving the signal (not provided in this version)

Acting Type:Select the mode to control this device

  • Single-Acting:Input controls suction/release
  • Double-Acting:Input-1 and Input-2 control suction/release

Digital Input Setting (Single-Acting)

Digital Input:The receiver device used by this behavior (suction/release object)

Channel:The channel corresponding to the receiver device

Activate Level:Whether the receiver device is triggered by a rising or falling edge

The default control method is as follows:

Digital Input:True = Suction

Digital Input:False = Release

Digital Input Setting (Double-Acting)

Digital Input-1:The first receiver device used by this behavior (suction/release object)

Channel-1:The channel corresponding to receiver device-1

Activate Level:Whether receiver device-1 is triggered by a rising or falling edge

Digital Input-2:The second receiver device used by this behavior (suction/release object)

Channel-2:The channel corresponding to receiver device-2

Activate Level:Whether receiver device-2 is triggered by a rising or falling edge

The default control method is as follows:

Digital Input-1 Digital Input-2 Action
1 1 Maintain current state
1 0 Suction
0 1 Release
0 0 Maintain current state

Relevant Notes for Use

Coordinate system settings for the connector

The suction direction is the +X axis direction of the coordinate system

The reference for the allowable suction angle is the +Z axis direction

You can confirm whether the suction direction is set correctly through Preference-View-Show Connector Axes
